Prominent Syrian TV presenter executed

A prominent presenter on Syrian state television was kidnapped from his home near the capital Damascus and executed, activists said Saturday, reported dpa.
"Mohammed al-Saeed was kidnapped on July 19 in the area of Jedidate Artouz (on the outskirts of Damascus)," Rami Abdul-Rahman, the spokesman for the opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, told dpa.
He added the Al-Nusra Front, a shadowy militant group, had claimed responsibility for the killing.
