At least 5 people were killed and 9 wounded in Akçakale township of Şanlıurfa province on Wednesday afternoon, when a mortar exploded in the town center, reported TRT.
According to initial reports a mother and 2 children of hers were killed on site. There are also people with serious injuries.
2 of the wounded are reportedly police officers.
