State Commission for External Affairs: Turkish investors will not leave Egypt

Azerbaijan, Baku, July 5 / Trend R.Hafizoglu /

The Egyptian military coup will not affect the activities of Turkish investors in the country, according to a report published on Friday on the website of Turkey's State Committee for Foreign Economic Affairs (DEİK).

According to DEİK, Turkish investors will continue to actively invest in various sectors of Egypt's economy in the future.

Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that despite the fact that Ankara does not support a military coup in Egypt, this provision will not affect the economic and political relations between the countries.

On July 2, following the expiration of an ultimatum put forward by the army to the government of Egypt, the country's army ousted the president in a military coup and seized power in the country.

According to Al Jazeera, Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi and the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood are accused of violation of the constitution.
