Jordan and Saudi Arabia signed 232 million U.S. dollars grant agreements on Sunday, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
Jordan's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation said the amount will be used to finance projects in the field of water, irrigation and infrastructure.
The minister added that the grant is part of 1.25 billion U.S. dollars grant that Saudi Arabia pledged to extend to Jordan in 2011 over a period of five years.
Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour stressed the importance of the grant to the development of Jordan, especially in light of the difficult political and economic conditions in the region.
