An Israeli airstrike killed one Palestinian militant and wounded three others east of Gaza City Monday afternoon, the Israeli military and Palestinian medical officials said, dpa reported.
A military spokeswoman in Tel Aviv said the airstrike targeted a group of militants who a short while previously had fired a rocket propelled grenade (RPG) at an army patrol on the Israeli side of the border fence.
The RPG caused no casualties but damaged a military vehicle, she said.
