Israeli warplanes bombed two sites in the northern Gaza Strip overnight, the Israeli military said Tuesday dpa reported
Witnesses said the sites were former security posts used by militants of the Islamist Hamas movement ruling the coastal enclave.
At least two Palestinian civilians received minor injuries from shrapnel, medical officials said.
The double airstrikes were made in retaliation for rockets fired by Gaza militants into southern Israel, one of which damaged a factory in Sderot, a frequently hit town near the border with the Gaza Strip.
