Palestinians, Israeli troops clash in teens search

The Israeli military says soldiers clashed with Palestinians during an arrest raid that was part of a weeklong search for three missing teens believed to have been abducted in the West Bank, AP reported.

The military says Palestinians in the town of Jenin and an adjacent refugee camp on Thursday threw homemade explosives and stones at soldiers who then opened fire.

It was the most violent confrontation since thousands of Israeli soldiers first fanned out across the West Bank a week in search of the teens. Israel has blamed the Islamic militant Hamas group for the abduction, but has not provided evidence.

In all, troops have rounded up 280 Palestinians, most of them from Hamas. Overnight, 30 more Palestinians were detained.
