The Israeli army shot and killed a 17-year-old Palestinian near the southern West Bank city of Hebron late Friday night, Palestinian medical sources said Saturday.
Israeli forces entered the village of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, in a search-and-arrest campaign, dpa reported. Witnesses said, the teenager was part of a group of youth throwing stones at the soldiers.
The army opened fire at the stone-throwers killing one. Nine others were arrested during the campaign before the army left the village, the spokesman said.
