Israel, Jerusalem, 13 November / Trend corr. A.Gut / Most Arabian leaders' statements are inadequate at the conference on Dialogue of Religion & Civilization, while Saudi King Abdullah's peaceable initiative is important, Tsipi Livni, the Israeli Foreign Minister said on 13 November.

"Israel will hold peace negotiations, as well as struggle with terror infrastructure. Taking these steps simultaneously, we can achieve peace," Livni stressed, Maariv newspaper reported on 13 November.

"Peace is more important than a list paper, the Israeli Foreign Minister said during his speech at a news conference at the UN Headquarters in New York, adding that all sides of peace negotiations should struggle with radical extremism, as well.

For the first time there is understanding that leaders of Middle East region cannot close eyes to tendencies of radicalism and fanatic extremism, Livni said.

The Israeli Foreign Minister supported the Saudi King's peace initiative during a news conference, where Israeli President Shimon Peres and Israeli permanent representative at UN Gabriela Shalev took part, as well. Livni stressed that this initiative does not include solution of problems of the Palestinian refugees.

Israel accepts the initiative with hope that the Arabian leaders understand that regional problems should be solved through negotiations, but not under somebody's dictation, Livni said.
