Israeli jets bombed targets in the Gaza Strip early Sunday, in response to two rockets fired into southern Israel, the Israeli military said, DPA reported.
The sites in the centre and south of the strip hit in pre-dawn raids were being used by militants, a military spokeswoman in Tel Aviv said. She would give no further details, and no injuries were immediately reported.
The spokeswoman said Palestinian militants had launched two rockets Friday and Saturday which landed in a field in the southern Israeli Eshkol region. No injuries were reported.
