Rocket hits Israeli resort city of Eilat
At least one rocket hit the Israeli resort city of Eilat on Wednesday, police said, but caused no injuries, dpa reported.
Several explosions were heard in Eilat, and attempts were being made to locate the landing sites of other missiles, police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld told dpa.
Eilat lies at the tip of the Gulf of Aqaba, sandwiched between Jordan and the Sinai Peninsula. Militants have previously targeted the city, most recently in April 2012.
In August 2010, five rockets, thought to have been launched from the Sinai, landed in the area. Two exploded in Jordan, two in the Gulf of Aqaba and one in Eilat.
