Parliamentary elections in Ukraine regarded valid with turnout exceeding 57% - CEC data from 135 out of 225 districts

( Interfax-Ukraine ) - The voter turnout during the early parliamentary elections in Ukraine was 57.59% by 8:00 pm, according to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission.

The data came from 135 voting districts. There are 225 voting districts in Ukraine.

There is no turnout information from the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol.

The turnout by noon was 21.55%, by 4:00pm it was 43.06%.

According to the Central Election Commission, there are 35,978,831 voters on the electoral roll.

During the parliamentary elections in spring 2006, the voter turnover was 41.46% by 4:00 pm. The final turnover was 58.97%. Last year the polling stations worked from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

This year the polling stations work from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.
