Construction of Hyundai logistics center to be launched in Moscow Region

On October 17, the foundation stone will be laid for a Hyundai logistics center to be built in the village of Nikolskoye (Dmitrov District, Moscow Region), a spokesperson at the Press Ministry of the Moscow Region's government told RIA Novosti .

A new logistics center is needed to meet the growing needs of the Hyundai and Kia dealer networks, whose official partner is Mobis Parts CIS, the spokesperson said.

"The new logistics center will be built in mid-2009. The new Mobis Parts CIS storage facility will occupy an area of over 40,000 square meters. Investment in the construction will exceed $35 million," she said.

Hyundai and Kia plan for car sales beginning in 2009 to exceed 300,000 vehicles a year.

The spokesperson also said that the construction site's convenient location near the village of Nikolskoye (Dmitrov District) will make it possible to optimize logistics and shorten the delivery time for dealers in Moscow and in the regions.
