Seven Kazakh citizens die in fire at Petersburg factory

Seven people died and four were hospitalised as a result of a fire which took place this morning at the Elektropult factory in St. Petersburg, Itar-Tass learnt at the Petersburg branch of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies.

A report on the fire in the Khimiki Street was received at 07.33. A wooden makeshift house caught fire. According to preliminary data, more than ten Kazakh residents lived there.

The fire was put out quickly, but seven people died on the spot from burns, while another four were hospitalised.

Chief of the Petersburg branch of the Ministry for Emergencies as well as heads of the local police and prosecutor's office went to the place of the incident.
