( dpa ) - Two Czech soldiers were lightly injured Sunday in a rocket attack on the Czech contingent in the southern Iraqi city of Basra, the Czech Defence Ministry said.

The troops sustained cuts from glass splinters on their arms and legs after a rocket exploded in the contingent's car park, the ministry said.

Currently 99 Czech troops are serving in Iraq where they are helping guard the international-force base at the Basra airport, the ministry said.

The Czech Republic decided to pull out most of them by the second half of 2008.
