( dpa ) - Royal Thai Army Chief Anupong Paojindo called on Singapore's Defence Minister Teo Chee Hea on Thursday during an introductory visit to the city-state.
The armed forces of the two countries "interact regularly through a broad spectrum of activities, including bilateral and multilateral exercises, professional exchanges and courses," a government statement said.
"Such interchanges are mutually beneficial" in strengthening both sides and promoting camaraderie, it noted.
Anupong, who arrived on Wednesday, was also visiting the Centre for Military Experiments and meeting with other armed forces officials.
