Yesterday, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger was in Fresno to participate in First Lady Maria Shriver's WE Connect campaign. This pioneering public-private partnership is designed to help California's working families become more financially secure by connecting them to important programs and resources. Also today, in further efforts to help California's working families, the Governor announced that Fresno Mayor Alan Autry, the California Bankers Association and the California Credit Union League have committed to launching Bank on Fresno later this year, part of the Governor's Bank on California initiative. In helping hard-working Californians achieve greater financial security, WE Connect and Bank on California will also help strengthen California's economy. ( G.C.G )
