One of the world's largest anime trade fairs also is to feature symposiums and anime character performances that were expected to attract more than 120,000 visitors during the fair's four days.
The organizers also are to recognize the best animation work of 2007.
The event has grown every year since it started in 2002.
Last year, the fair featured exhibits from 270 firms and groups and attracted 107,713 visitors.
