Celine Dion Reschedules Australian Concerts Through Illness

( CM ) - Canadian singer Celine Dion has been forced to change the dates of the Australian leg of her world tour due to her continued illness.

Two concerts at Sydney's Acer Arena scheduled for tonight and tomorrow have been put back to Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th.

Dion has already delayed her appearance at Brisbane from Wednesday until March 31st.

The 39-year-old had been told by doctors she needed a further 48 hours to recover from a "minor throat infection and irritated sinuses".

"I've been looking forward to doing this show in Brisbane for so long," the Grammy-award winning singer told her official website.

"I'm really sorry to disappoint my fans tonight. I can't wait to see them on the 31st."

The rescheduled dates also mean her concert at the Perth Members Equity stadium will now take place on Tuesday April 8th.

All tickets purchased for the original dates will be valid, a spokesperson for the singer said.
