James Bond - 'Bond producers anger Chilean locals'

( CM ) - JAMES BOND producers have angered South American locals after revealing that QUANTUM OF SOLACE will feature shots of Chile rather than Bolivia.

The latest instalment of the 007 franchise see the legendary spy taking a fleeting trip to Bolivia, but the shots were filmed in neighbouring Chile.

According to the Mirror, this has created tensions as well-off Chileans protested about the poorer Bolivia's flag being displayed throughout their region.

The newspaper quotes a local publication as reading: " Chile is Chile. We aren't Bolivian indians. Imperialist British out."

Bond producers said: "We concluded that Chile didn't serve in the plot and opted for Bolivia."

According to recent reports from the MercoPress, shooting took place in the towns of Cobija, Baquedano, and Michilla.

Bond star DANIEL CRAIG had to change hotels five times during filming as he was being harassed by the local press.

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that SEAN CONNERY, who played 007 in seven of the hit films, would like to star as a Bond baddie in the future.
