Three ambulance crews were treating 14 people for injuries at Merrylands High School after the men invaded the school.
"On our arrival, paramedics have assessed eight patients believed to have minor injuries," ambulance spokesman Bruce Paddock said. "A further six patients have now presented to the paramedics on scene for assessment."
Police would not confirm reports that the five suspects were former pupils at the school.
