(showbizspy.com) - Lindsay Lohan is planning to get naked on film for $80,000 in a bid to be taken seriously as an actress.
The 21-year-old star has taken the role of a nymphomaniac waitress in low-budget drama Florence.
The 'Mean Girls' star shocked producers by agreeing to do a full frontal when they had only asked her to go topless.
A friend of the actress said: "She is fully aware of the potential of her body. Lindsay wants to build up an image as a mature, responsible actress."
Lindsay - whose film career has taken a nosedive since her various stints in rehab last year - is so desperate to star in the film that she's even taking a hefty pay cut from the usual seven-figure salary she can command by acting for minimum pay.
"Lindsay doesn't care she's getting paid peanuts. She wants to remind people she can act and that she is worth hiring," the insider added.
