(dpa) - Arsonists destroyed a diplomatic car belonging to the embassy of Saudi Arabia on Monday in a suburb near central Athens Monday, causing extensive damage but no injuries, reports said.
Arsonists, using mechanical timer devices, bombed the car which was parked in the northern suburb of Halandri.
An unknown caller to a local telephone station said a little known left wing group called "Forbidden blockade" claimed responsibility for the attack.
Last week arsonists destroyed 15 luxury Italian cars at a number of car dealerships in Athens.
