( AP ) - Argentine President Cristina Fernandez has taken a helicopter tour over brush fires that have shrouded Buenos Aires in smoke for days.
Fernandez spent more than an hour Saturday flying over some 200 fires burning in countryside north of the Argentine capital. She met with volunteer firefighters and army officers trying to put out the flames.
Fernandez is vowing to prosecute anyone who intentionally sets fires. Blowing smoke has slowed traffic on highways and disrupted airport landings in the capital.
