Italy's ambassador to South Africa, Alessandro Cevese, was killed in a car accident during a hunting expedition on a private game farm in the north of the country on Saturday, reports said Sunday. ( dpa )
The 57-year-old diplomat was flung from the open-top vehicle in which he was travelling when it swerved suddenly to avoid an antelope, according to police. Cevese was hurled against a rock and died instantly.
Authorities have launched an investigation.
