(dpa) - Pope Benedict XVI
concluded celebrations of Mass Sunday at Yankee Stadium, his last public
appearance before an adoring crowd to end a six-day US visit.
The 57,000 worshippers, including 600 priests and deacons and dozens of
cardinals and bishops, cheered the pontiff, who celebrated his 81st birthday on
Wednesday and the third anniversary of his papal election on Friday.
Benedict was to board Shepherd One late Sunday to fly back to Rome.
