( NBC6 ) - Former President George H.W. Bush caught a 135-pound tarpon on Saturday while fishing off the coast of Islamorada.
Bush, the 84-year-old father of the current president, released the fish alive after his catch. The boat on which he was fishing had a legal Florida harvest tag, officials said.
According to a media advisory by the Florida Keys, the former president has commissioned a reproduction mount of the tarpon, which was the biggest fish he has ever caught.
Bush was fishing on a boat with his friend and former Olympic skier Andy Mill. He left the Keys on Sunday, officials said.
