Inter Milan hold wide lead with three Serie A games left

Inter Milan retained a comfortable six-point lead in the Serie A Sunday beating Cagliari 2-1 as second-place Roma hammered Torino 4-1 with three games left, the dpa reported.

Juventus are certain to play next season's Champions League as they secured third place through a 5-2 drubbing of Lazio, while three teams still vie for a fourth qualifying berth.

Fourth-place Fiorentina drew 2-2 with Sampdoria, holding them four points adrift, while AC Milan are two points behind Fiorentina after crushing bottom side Livorno 4-1 through a hat-trick from veteran Filippo Inzaghi.

Udinese edged lowly Catania 2-1 and Empoli won 1-0 at Genoa, but remain in the danger zone alongside Reggina, who beat 2- 1 a 10-man Parma side now lying second-from-last.

In mid-table ties, Napoli and Siena drew with the same 0-0 score that sealed a tie between Palermo and Atalanta.
