Two US soldiers killed in Iraq
Two US soldiers were killed in separate attacks in the Iraqi capital, the US military said on Wednesday.
In the late hours of Tuesday, militants opened fire on a US soldier in north-east Baghdad, the statement said. The soldier died of his wounds, reported the dpa.
In another attack, another US soldier was killed when a bomb targeted his vehicle in the same area, the statement said.
The attacks bring the number of killed US soldiers to 4,058 since the US-led invasion of Iraq.
In April alone, at least 46 soldiers were killed, marking the highest death toll during the past seven months.
