8 South Koreans killed after being swept away by large wave
South Korea's Coast Guard says at least eight people have been killed and 12 others injured after being swept away by a sudden wave that crashed into a wharf, AP reported.
Coast Guard officer Lee Won-il says Sunday's accident occurred as the large wave jumped a bulwark near Daecheon, about 190 kilometers (120 miles) south of Seoul. Most of the victims were tourists or people fishing there. Lee says 15 other people were believed missing.
