Jim Clark was Lotus F1 Team's celebrated driver in the 1960's taken home the championship in 1963 and 1965. Jim Clark can be seen as one of the most talented drivers of all time, winning a third of all the races he entered and the first Briton to win the Indianapolis 500, the WCF reported.

This weekend Lotus, in association with Classic Team Lotus, will unveil a special edition in the memory of this legendary driver, the Lotus Clark Type 25 Elise SC. There will be only 25 copies built and for each Type 25 Elise sold a donation will be made to the Jim Clark Memorial fund. The launch coincides with the 40th 'anniversary' of Jim Clark's death at Hockenheim in 1968.

Mike Kimberley, CEO of Group Lotus Plc comments, "It is fitting that the latest version of our award winning Elise, the Clark Type 25 Elise SC, should celebrate the life of Jim Clark."

The Lotus Clark Type 25 Elise SC is styled after the Type 25 Formula 1 car that Jim Clark drove to victory in 1963. The Elise is finished in British Racing Green with yellow stripe, Lotus Sport wheels, black leather sport seats trimmed with red leather and as a final retro touch a solid wooden gear knob.

Power comes from a 1.8 liter non-intorcooled, supercharged engine producing 220 hp and is capable of a 0- 100 km/h time of just 4.6 seconds. You can pick up your Clark Type 25 Elise SC at dealers in UK and Northern Ireland only for just under GBP 37,000.
