Independence Day military parade held in Minsk

The military parade to mark the Independence Day and the 64th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazis took place in the Belarusian capital, reported Belta.

Partaking in the parade were troops of the Armed Forces, the Interior Ministry, the Emergencies Ministry, the State Border Committee of Belarus, establishments of higher military education, Minsk Suvorov Military School. The 2,000-strong parade featured the best military units and subdivisions of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, other troops and military formations of the country. Taking part the parade was Defence Minister of Belarus Leonid Maltsev.

The parade concluded with a performance of the Guards of Honour.
