Six blasts reported from India's western Ahmedabad city
At least six synchronized blasts were reported from India's western city of Ahmedabad city on Saturday wounding seven people, media reports said. ( dpa )
The explosives were planted on bicycles in crowded market places in Ahmedabad which is among the top commercial cities in India, the NDTV network reported.
The blasts occurred in the Maninagar, Sarangpur, Isanpur, Diamond Market, Bapu Nagar and Narol Circle areas, all in eastern Ahmedabad.
The city is located 50 kilometres south-west of Gandhinagar, state capital of Gujarat state.
The first blast was reported at 6.45 pm (1315 GMT) and all six explosions took place within 15 minutes.
The blasts come a day after eight low-intensity bombs shook the southern city of Bangalore, claiming two lives.
