Hungarian President Solyom arrives in Jordan on state visit
Hungarian President Laszlo Solyom arrived Sunday in Amman to
start a state visit, dpa
He was due to meet with King Abdullah II and Prime Minister Nader Dahabi on latest Middle East developments and ways of boosting Hungarian-Jordanian economic and trade ties, a royal court statement said.
During the visit, a memorandum of understanding is scheduled to be signed between the Jordanian and Hungarian foreign ministries.
The two leaders are also expected to complete discussion on bilateral cooperation issues that started during King Abdullah's June 2007 visit to Budapest.
According to official figures, trade between Hungary and Jordan reached 120 million dollars in 2007.
