The Maneater hitmaker wed her sound engineer fiance of one year, Demacio Castellon, over the summer.
In an interview to air Friday night on Entertainment Tonight Canada Furtado says, "We got married July 19th.
"I love it. It's a nice phase of my life."
Furtado worked with Castellon on her 2006 album, Loose.
The British Columbia-born singer first sparked wedding rumors after being photographed recently in Miami sporting a new diamond ring.
She continues, "I just feel kind of free and relaxed and more in tune with trying not to be so stressed out.
"[I'm] trying to enjoy things a little more [and] I'm happy ... I'm excited about the future."
