King Abdullah II of Jordan is visiting Chile as part of a six-nation Latin American tour, the associated press reported.
The Jordan monarch arrived in Santiago on Sunday accompanied by Queen Rania and a delegation of Jordan businessmen.
The Chilean government said Abdullah's official program was to open on Monday with a meeting with President Michelle Bachelet.
He is to leave Chile on Wednesday.
The regional tour also includes Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Cuba and Honduras.
