Belarus, Russia to consider economic cooperation October 23-24
A session of the Union State construction permanent seminar of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) will focus on the economic cooperation between Belarus and Russia. The session will take place in Svetlogorsk (the Kaliningrad oblast) on October 23-24, BelTA learnt from Andrei Shakhorsky, head of the press service of Belarus-Russia Union State PA.
Attending the seminar will be PA deputies, representatives of the Union State Permanent Committee, ministries and agencies of Belarus and Russia, heads of the companies, scientists who are to assess the results of the economic cooperation between the two countries in 1996-2008.
The agenda of the session will include interregional and border economic cooperation, Union State innovation programmes, national investment programmes of Belarus and Russia and their impact on the Union State economic area, strengthening of the economic potential, development of the military and economic cooperation between the two states.
