The Hollywood super couple are parents to 3-month-old twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline; daughter Shiloh, 2; Maddox, 7; Pax, 4; and Zahara, 3.
And Jolie admits her brood often wonder why mommy and daddy haven't walked each other down the aisle yet.
She tells Italian Vanity Fair, "Usually people fall in love and everything revolves around the ritual of marriage, children are an afterthought. We did everything backwards.
"But sooner or later it will be the kids who ask us [to get married]. You know, they see films and start asking questions. Such as, "Why are Shrek and Fiona married and you're not?'"
The Tomb Raider star also believes her children have inherited her taste for globe-trotting.
She added, "Sure I am still restless, but do you know that my kids are the same way? We were in France these last few months and after a while they started asking when we could get back on a plane."
