Eleven killed in Baghdad blasts

Other News Materials 4 November 2008 17:55 (UTC +04:00)

In the first blast, seven people were killed and 18 were wounded around noon at a car park in the al-Mashtal area of eastern Baghdad, reported Reuters.

Later four people were killed and eight were wounded when a roadside bomb exploded in the al-Qahira district of northern Baghdad, police said.

Violence has been dropping dramatically across Iraq, reaching its lowest level in October since the war began in 2003.

Yet even as security improves, reconciliation remains elusive, and car bombs, roadside blasts and political assassinations are still routine.
