An Afghan Governor Targeted by a Remote Controlled Bomb

Afghanistan, Kabul, 6 November / corr Trend A  Hakimi / This morning (6 November) a roadside bomb targeting Badakhshan governor has killed one civilian and wounded five others, said Zmary Bashari with Trend news over a telephone.

The bomb exploded when Governor Munshi Abdul Majid was going home after visiting the Baharak district, border to the capital Faisabad.

A passing Town Ace minibus suffered the blast, said spokesman for the governor.  He added that one passenger of the minibus killed and five wounded in this incident.

According to the spokesman, the governor escaped save and sound from the blast, but two of his colleagues suffered minor injuries.
