Staff Ship of US 6th Fleet Arrives in Crimea

Ukraine, Kiev, 6 November / Trend corr. Z.Novsvitskiy / Mount Withney Staff ship of the US 6TH Fleet arrived in Sevastopol Port (Ukraine, the Crimea) on 6 November with two-day work visit.

Mount Withney moored at Sevastopol Port, UNIAN reported.

The US ship command will hold protocol meeting with the Ukrainian Navy Forces command during the visit, the informed military sources said. Moreover, it is planned to hold a joint concert of the US Navy Forces in Europe and the Ukrainian Navy Forces Staff orchestra.

In the morning of 6 November, when Mount Withney was not far from the external raid of Sevastopol bay, some political forces and public organizations held protest action against the visit in Nakhimov square. Participants of the action (about 100people) held posters in their hand with slogans of NATO Is not For Sevastopol, No NATO!, NATO, and Get out of Ukraine!. When the ship entered the bay, protest action had finished.
