Next Meeting of Supreme Rada to Take Place on 2 December
Ukraine, Kiev, 20 November / corr Trend Z.Novosvitskiy/ Today's meeting of the Ukrainian parliament was announced closed. MPs will come together only on 2 December.
Today MPs planned to consider the issue on election of Chairman of the Supreme Rada. It was the second effort this week, after legislative assembly dismissed Arseniy Yatsenyuk from the post of head of the parliament on 12 November.
MPs tried to vote for announcement of interruption several times before closing of the meeting in order to start considering the issue on election of speaker, but these offers did not gain enough number of votes.
The members of faction of Yulia Timoshneko Bloc and communists offered to consider anti-crisis bills and postpone the issue of election of chairman of the parliament. However, this offer was not put on voting.
The next meeting will start at 10 am on 2 December, MPs will work in election districts from 24 to 30 November, Alexander Lavrinovich, first deputy chairman of the parliament, said closing today's meeting of Supreme Rada.
