Three Canadian soldiers killed in blast

Afghanistan, Kabul, 7 December / Trend   corr. A.  Hakimi/  Three Canadian soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb in Kandahar province on Friday; ISAF has confirmed the report today.

The troops were operating in the Sanjari area of Argandab district in the southern province, while a bomb which was planted by Taliban exploded and killed three.

The three men were named as Warrant Officer Robert Wilson, Corporal Mark McLaren and Private Demetrios Diplaris of the Royal Canadian Regiment.

It is worth mentioning that deaths mark Canada's 100th fatality in Afghanistan since 2001 invasion.
