Three Iraqi soldiers were killed when a roadside bomb struck their vehicle in western Baghdad on Monday, an Interior Ministry source said.
"A makeshift bomb detonated around 10:00 a.m. (0700 GMT) near a military vehicle on a main street in the Yarmouk neighborhood, setting the vehicle ablaze and leaving bodies of three soldier aboard totally charred," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Four bystanders were also wounded by blast, the sources said.
In separate incident, a roadside bomb went off near a police patrol near the al-Shaab Football Stadium in eastern Baghdad, wounding three policemen and four civilians, the source said.
A police vehicle was also damaged by the blast, he said.
Earlier in the day, a ministry source said at least five people were killed and 14 others injured in separate bomb attacks in the capital.
Despite security gains in recent months in Iraq, there are still sporadic bombings, which shape setback to the Iraqi government, reported Xinhua.
