U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is expected to visit South Korea this month as part of her first regional trip, South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported on Monday.

"I know that Secretary Clinton has such a plan," an unnamed South Korean Foreign Ministry official was quoted as saying. "But we have yet to consult on details, including her itinerary."

Clinton is expected to visit Seoul as early as in mid-February in her Asian swing that would also take her to China and Japan, Yonhap said, reported Xinhua.
