Somali pirates have released a Chinese fishing vessel, a Kenyan maritime official said on Sunday.
"The Chinese fishing vessel Tianyu 8 is free," said Andrew Mwangura, an official of the East African Sea Farers Assistance Programme, without giving further details.
The ship was seized in November off the Kenyan coast. The crew included 15 Chinese, one Taiwanese, one Japanese, three Filipinos and four Vietnamese, World Bulletin reported.
