Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Sunday underscored the importance of anti-corruption work, saying it has helped boost the country's economic growth, rein in inflation and bring social stability, Xinhua reported Monday referring to the local newspaper The Youth.
In 2009, Dung asked relevant government's agencies to enhance transparency in dealing with public works including land use, investment and spending by state corporations and taxation.
The minister also called authorities to implement inspections, auditing, and surveillance in a more effective way with close coordination between police officers, prosecutors and the courts.
