Four people were killed on Tuesday when the police helicopter they were aboard fell in a jungle zone in the department of Putumayo in southern Colombia, Xinhua reported.
"The helicopter we have lost this morning fell down some 10 km to the municipality of Villa Garzon. All its occupants were found dead," General Alvaro Caro, anti-drug police commander, told a press conference.
The cause of the accident has been investigating, Caro said.
The four people were the pilot, the copilot, and two artillerymen, according to a police report.
The helicopter took off from an anti-drug base in Putumayo near the border with Ecuador and Peru, said the report.
