Natasha Richardson dies after fall
Actress Natasha Richardson, the wife of actor Liam Neeson and part of the Redgrave acting dynasty, has died, a family spokesman said on Wednesday, Reuters reported.
"Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time," Los Angeles-based spokesman Alan Nierob said in a statement.
Richardson, 45, the daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave and director Tony Richardson, suffered a severe injury on Monday while was skiing at the Mont Tremblant resort in Canada, about 75 miles (120 km) north of Montreal.
Richardson won a Tony award in 1998 for her role in the musical "Cabaret".
She has two sons aged 12 and 13 with Neeson.
