11 arrested over Nigeria's Super Eagles fund-missing case

The police have arrested 11 persons over the theft of Nigeria's Super Eagles fund at the Nigeria Football Federation office in Abuja on Thursday, Xinhua reported.

The incident, which was said to have happened in the early hours of the day, was only reported at the Wuse Police station around 6.00-p.m local time.

Moshood Jimoh, Public Relations Officer of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, said that the command had begun investigation into the matter.

He said the Police would leave no stone unturned to unravel those behind the theft.

"We are on top of the case and I can assure you that we are going to get to the root of the matter," he said.

According to the Punch newspaper, Jimoh refused to give the identity of those in the police custody.
